PROJECT MANAGER

As a Project Manager you will:
-
Manage several commercial projects concurrently
-
Assist, review, and negotiate contracts
-
Develop, recommend, and implement the project plan and schedule
-
Manage financial aspects of contracts, ensuring favourable balance between Seagate interests and Client satisfaction
-
Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
-
Monitor, control, and report on schedule progress, costs and budgets, and personnel throughout the project
-
Manage the performance of personnel under the direction of the Project Manager
-
Manage relationship between Seagate and subcontractors
-
Identify changes in project scope; negotiate change orders with the Client representative

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
-
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, materials, negotiation, engineering, estimating, scheduling and safety
-
Knowledge of Alberta’s OHS legislation regarding responsibilities of Project Manager and Prime Contractor
-
Contract negotiation and management skills
-
Strong communication skills when dealing with both internal personnel and external customers

Organizational skills

Interpersonal skills
-
Able to build and maintain strong client relationships

Able to provide timely, clear, and accurate reporting to stakeholders

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, and Bid Planroom

Able to coach and manage team to align with Seagate performance expectations

Able to solve problems and adapt to changing scope or unexpected situations

Qualifications/Experience:
-
Project management certificate or PMP preferred
-
Leadership for safety Excellence preferred (ACSA)
-
3-5 years of project management experience on commercial interior projects or similar construction projects
-
3-5 years’ experience estimating
-
Experience procuring vendors and managing subcontractors
-
Class 5 Drivers’ License

SITE SUPERVISOR
Seagate is looking for a working COMMERCIAL INTERIOR SITE SUPERVISOR to join our team!
​
Site Supervisor will be required to:
-
Manage all on-site duties and subtrades, scheduling
-
Communicate the responsibilities to all site employees
-
Ongoing communication with Project Manager regarding progress of job conditions and issues
-
Ensure quality of work
-
Complete reports and safety documentation
​
Experience & Requirements:
-
Commercial Interior Experience a MUST
-
Supervisory Experience
-
Extensive Finish Carpentry an asset
